Welcome to The Boot Inn
The Lake District's best Inn and restaurant
Award winning food
Huge selection of cask ales
Amazing atmosphere
And most importantly, dog friendly
We were stopping at a local camp site and were recommended this pub and what more can I say. Roaring log fire, good hearty food and fine cask ales and to round it all off dog friendly. The staff in here were great and couldnt do emough to help.
G4ven - We didn't stay, just had food.
6 of us and our little springer spaniel puppy Rou stayed at the Boot inn for the first time on our annual family long weekend in the Western Lakes on the 12th December. What a a great place to stay and must be the best value for money in the area, the staff are really helpful and nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is excellent, to be honest I cannot fault this place.
WarringtonPaul - We had two double rooms and they were bloody brillaint.
Party of 9 with 5 dogs stayed for a 3 day break over New Year. Negatives – Didn’t stay long enough! Positives – Everything! Accommodation – Very clean, cosy rooms with tea/coffee making facilities – Extra points for lovely fluffy towels and quilted loo rolls! Pub – Exactly how you want a pub to be
Chrissy55 - We booked several rooms
We stayed at The Boot Inn in mid January. We arrived late one evening due to the heavy winds and everyone was very welcoming. We spent two nights at the pub and the breakfast was fantastic and the steak we had for dinner was really tasty and beautifully cooked. The pub was fantastic very welcoming and friendly
RivenMidlands - We had a Double En-Suite
Arrived New Years Eve for a 3 night stay and we were greeted by Stuart and Claire and was made very welcoming and we met Anita later on in the evening. All nine rooms were booked and all with dogs and our dog loved it playing around with them and with Anita’s & Stuart & Claires three dogs as well.
Karen J - We stayed in a Double en-suite
To echo a previous review “The Boot is back”! We have just returned from 5 days in Eskdale and would highly recommend the Boot Inn as the place to enjoy fantastic food (Thai curry made with fresh ingredients, not a jar in sight – so good I had it 2 nights in a row), good beer, and wonderful hospitality.
Milo and Bex - I think we stayed in Room 1 - Double En-Suite
Friday Lockdown menu
We will be re-opening on Thursday 03 December from 12 noon.
